CLUB HISTORY
Welcome to Seaford Tigers Cricket Club, a proud part of the Seaford community since 1990. Originally established as a subsidiary of Seaford Junior Football Club, our club has grown steadily over the years, celebrating our 30th anniversary in the 2020/21 season. You can find us at Belvedere Reserve, East Road, Seaford (next to Frankston Council's Healthy Futures Hub) offering a picturesque setting for cricket.
Currently competing in the District Division of the MPCA, one of Victoria's most respected country cricket competitions, our club has a strong foundation of inclusion and community spirit. From humble beginnings with just two senior teams in the Federal District Cricket Association (winning the premiership in the 5th grade competition) we've now expanded to encompass a wide range of teams and cricket programs.
Our club now proudly fields three senior men's teams, a women's team, a senior all abilities team, nine junior teams including an all girls team, and hosts a successful Woolworths Blast program as well as an all abilities Woolworths Blast program reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and junior development.
Over the years, we've achieved notable successes, including back-to-back A grade premierships in the early '90s and more recently, senior 1stXI Sub District Premiership and U/13, U/15 and U/17 Junior Premierships in 2012/13, senior 2ndXI, 4thXI, & 5thXI Premierships in 2014/15 and promotion to the MPCA's Peninsula Division after winning the senior 1stXI District Premiership in 2019/20.
In 2016/17, we proudly introduced a senior all abilities team, participating in the Melbourne All Abilities Cricket Association (MAACA). Building on this inclusivity, we further expanded our reach in 2023/24 by launching our inaugural women's team into the MPCA women's competition and season 2024/25 saw us launch our inaugural junior all girls team + all abilities Woolworths Blast program. These milestones highlight our commitment to a inclusive club with active community involvement.
Looking ahead, Seaford Tigers Cricket Club continues to grow and evolve, with a focus on nurturing talent across all levels, reinforcing our reputation as a family friendly, welcoming club for cricket enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
