A tough round and 3 tough losses to take, especially knowing that we are all so much better than we put out on the park. That’s the hardest part to take. I’m not going to write the game scores and highlights because there simply wasn’t enough but I will note some stats. A great effort to Geordie Scott top scoring for the weekend showing some resilience in the 3rds with 45.
Over the 3 Grades this happened (33 players)
Scoring double figures 7
Scoring 25+ 2
Scoring 40+ 1
First XI had 10 dismissals that were our own fault, I will put my hand up and admit I played the worst shot of my career and the worst possible time, just lost a wicket I should have started again, instead there are now 2 batsmen at the crease who haven’t faced a ball. It’s disgusting.
Only 1 bowler took 4 or more wickets.
Granted wickets got shared around in a couple of grades, we need guys to put their hand up and stamp their authority of the game.
No training on Tuesday as it’s Melbourne Cup day, hope you all have a great day. This mini break has come at a perfect time, let’s recharge the batteries and come back firing with 3 wins next round.
